  29. Don't be surprised when you don't get a response when asking for things like, "What is the password?", "What order should I go through the material?", or "What test should I be taking?". If you cannot read the information, and go to the links I have provided here, do some of the research yourself, and if a Ctrl-F is too difficult for you, then perhaps a career in Cisco Networking is not for you?

  31. If you want it handed to you on a platter, go do a Microsoft Certification. Cisco Certified people get paid well for a reason, and being simple-minded, unthinking & apathetic with no initiative are not any of those reasons.

Within this thread are up to date & relevant Cisco resources (books & videos), in more or less the order you should read/watch them, for those who are serious about getting Cisco Certified & really knowing what they are doing, along with links to the current tests from Actual Tests for CCENT CCNA CCNP CCDA CCDP CCIP CCSP.

  67. Be sure you are studying the correct material for a current exam. This is why I go to great lengths to be accurate with my filenames/descriptions.

  72. This is an example of an exam cheat sheet that you should get used to writing out everytime you take a Cisco Certification exam.

  74. It is not cheating to do this, so long as you write it up yourself while you are in the exam.

  76. When you go in for the exam, make sure you ask for lots of plastic or paper sheets, so you can write this out & make more notes on.
  77. Do not try & fit everything you want onto a single sheet.

  80. It only takes a couple of minutes, but can save you a whole lot of time, & heartache caused by simple mistakes.

  663. Here are Cisco videos converted into 3GP format for Pocket PC's, as well as other Cisco Videos in Windows Media Video 9 Screen format.

All of these videos were originally in Windows Media Video 9 Screen format, and I could not get them to play on my Windows Pocket PC, (stupid I know), so what I ended up doing was convert them all to 3GP format, because that was the next best file size I could get without losing any detail. Not losing any detail was the most important issue, and my pocket pc has a 640x480 screen, you will see what I mean.

  667. The file size is a fair bit bigger than the original, and the orginal screen resolution is 800x600 and I've converted them to 640x480, but the sound and picture quality is still as good as the originals.

  669. The total expanded size of the 3GP videos is 6934MB but that should not be too much trouble with 16GB Compact Flash & SD Flash retailing on Ebay for < $100.

  671. Anyhow, it's all converted and you can take them with you on your mobile device, so you can keep your Cisco studies going during your travels, instead of it being dead time.

EIGRP, OSPF, BGP etc (see the file explanations for full details of each file) so people can download just the parts they might be interested in, instead of 1 massive download to keep it free user friendly, although I expect most people will want the entire set. EIGRP, OSPF, BGP etc (see the file explanations for full details of each file) so people can download just the parts they might be interested in, instead of 1 massive download to keep it free user friendly, although I expect most people will want the entire set.
